Dynamic theory of information – the basis for real time systems
Keywords:
real time system, analog-to-digital conversion, system approach, dynamic information, δ-entropyAbstract
The report discusses the peculiarities of computing in real-time systems, highlighting that traditional analog-to-digital conversion principles (sampling, quantization, and encoding) developed for information transmission and registration systems do not meet the requirements of real-time systems with feedback. This also applies to the principles of organizing the computing process. New theoretical foundations and principles of information reconciliation for means of information conversion and processing in real-time systems are proposed. These are based on a systems approach, considering the specifics of real-time systems, their requirements, limitations, and solvable tasks. They enable the evaluation of signal dynamics, information, and precision characteristics of methods for digitally representing continuous signals, facilitating the selection of the most effective method for a given case.
