Abstract

In order to determine the potential field of a point electric charge, the relations of the local gradient theory of dielectrics was used. It is shown that, on the contrary to the classical theory of dielectrics, the above theory allows to avoid the singularity of the electric potential of a point charge in an infinite dielectric medium.
